Bechtel has awarded Aquatec Maxcon the projects to design and construct both the water & sewage treatment plants for the new Caval Ridge mine in Central Queensland. Water will be sourced from Burdekin River, Broken River or Mackenzie River sources as required. The variety of sources required a very flexible plant which will serve the mines requirements.
Wastewater will be treated to Class A+ standards using our membrane bioreactor technology enabling the water to be re-used in a variety of non-potable re-use applications.
